Use via wall outlet or battery

The HeatPerformance® COSYseat heated seat cushion can be used in 2 ways:

• With battery: use the seat cushion wirelessly with the included rechargeable battery.
• Via electrical outlet: connect the seat cushion directly with the included adapter for unlimited indoor warmth.

Heat modes

The HeatPerformance® COSYseat has one on/off button with which you turn on the seat cushion as well as select the heat setting.

• Press and hold the button for about 3 seconds to turn on the seat cushion.
• When the light is red, the seat cushion is on the highest heat setting.
• Then press the button once briefly to change to the center position. The light will then illuminate green.
• Then briefly press the button again once to change to the lowest setting. The light then illuminates blue.
• Press and hold the button again for about 3 seconds to turn off the seat cushion.
• Lowest setting: 40 – 45°C
• Middle setting: 50 – 55°C
• Highest setting: 60 – 65°C

The operating time depends on the heat setting selected and the ambient temperature. On average, battery life is 8 to 10 hours on the lowest setting, 5 to 6 hours on the medium setting and 3 to 4 hours on the highest setting.

Heating area

The HeatPerformance® COSYseat heats about 85% of the surface, focusing on the center of the seat cushion.

Charging

• Remove the battery from the seat cushion before charging.
• Charge the battery with the battery charger provided.
• Charge only at room temperature and on a dry, stable surface.
• While charging, a red light is lit on the charger.
• When the battery is fully charged, a green light illuminates on the charger.
• Do not charge the battery unattended and never while sleeping.
• Disconnect the charger once the battery is fully charged.

Cleaning and maintenance

• Always remove the battery before cleaning or storage.
• The outer cover is removable and hand washable.
• Use a mild detergent.
• Close the cover cap tightly to prevent water from entering the connector.
• Do not machine wash unless only the zip-off cover is cleaned according to care instructions.
• Do not bleach and do not tumble dry.
• Let the pillow or cover dry flat, away from direct heat sources.

Safety instructions

For your safety, it is important to follow the instructions below carefully.

General

• Do not use the product if it is damaged, wet or not functioning properly.
• Do not use the product if cable, plug, battery, connector or heating part is damaged.
• Check the seat cushion and battery for damage, deformation or other abnormalities before each use.
• Do not use the product if the battery shows signs of swelling, leakage or overheating.
• Keep the product away from fire, heat sources and direct sunlight.
• Do not fold, buckle or press the seat cushion hard on the heating zone.

Use and charging

• Use only the battery, adapter and charger provided or recommended by HeatPerformance®.
• Charge only at room temperature and always under supervision.
• Do not charge near flammable materials, such as textiles, paper or bedding.
• Never open, puncture, crush or burn the battery.
• Do not use or recharge a damaged battery.
• Do not expose the battery to rain, moisture, fire or extreme heat.

During use

• Do not use the seat cushion while sleeping.
• Turn the product off immediately or choose a lower setting if it feels uncomfortably hot.
• Use with extra caution in cases of reduced sensitivity to heat or circulatory problems.
• When in doubt before use, consult a physician, for example in pregnancy, diabetes, circulatory problems or reduced heat sensitivity.
• Not suitable for use by children.

Save

• Remove the battery after each use and before cleaning or storage.
• Store the product in a cool, dry place.
• Do not store batteries fully discharged for long periods of time.
• For long-term storage, charge the battery at least once every 6 months to help reduce capacity loss.

In emergencies

• Stop using the product immediately if there is a burning smell, smoke, excessive heat or unusual noises.
• Do not touch an overheated battery.
• Dispose of damaged batteries according to applicable local regulations.
• Contact the supplier if you have any doubts about the safety of the product or battery.

Warranty

• 12-month warranty on the seat cushion with proper use.
• 6-month warranty on battery, adapter and charger.
• Damage resulting from misuse, improper charging, improper cleaning, normal wear and tear, modifications to the product or use contrary to this manual is not covered by the warranty.

Environment and recycling

• Never throw used batteries in the garbage.
• Return used or defective batteries to an official battery or small chemical waste collection point.
• Packaging material and manual can be recycled according to local waste segregation.
