Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to use, care for and safely store your HeatPerformance® heated clothing. This manual applies to our heated undergarments, vests, jackets and body warmers.

Step-by-step instructions for use
- Step 1. Fully charge the batteries before first use (3 to 4 hours).
- Step 2. Connect the battery to the plug in the garment.
- Step 3. Place the battery neatly back into the zippered compartment.
- Step 4. Press and hold the button for about 3 seconds to turn on the system.
- Step 5. Then select the desired heat setting using the same button.
- Step 6. The first time you use the highest setting, the system automatically switches back to the middle setting after about 10 minutes. With repeated use, the system remains at the highest setting.
- Step 7. Press and hold the button again for about 3 seconds to turn off the system.
- Step 8. Disconnect the battery after use.
General information
Heating modes
The heated clothing has one on/off button with which you turn on the system as well as select the heat setting.
- Press and hold the button for about 3 seconds to turn on the system.
- When the button lights on red, the garment is on the highest heat setting.
- Then briefly press the button again to switch to the medium setting. The button then lights up green.
- Press the button again briefly to change to the lowest setting. The button will then light up blue.
- Press and hold the button again for about 3 seconds to turn the system off.
The operating time and heat intensity depend on the model, heat mode selected, battery capacity and ambient temperature.
Heating area
The heating area depends on the model. For heated undergarments, the heating elements are located in the designated heating zones of the garment. For heated vests, jackets and body warmers, the heating elements are incorporated in the relevant zones of the upper body, depending on the design of the model.
Washing instructions
- Always remove batteries before cleaning or storage.
- Before cleaning, always place the cap on the plug/cable to prevent water from entering the socket.
- Hand washing is strongly recommended.
- Do you still want to wash the garment in the washing machine? Then use the included laundry bag, choose a gentle wash cycle at a low temperature and make sure the plug cap is securely attached.
- Do not bleach, do not spin dry, do not tumble dry and do not dry clean.
- Never place or hang the garment on or against a heater or other heat source to dry.
Safety instructions
For your safety, it is important to follow the instructions below carefully.
General
- Do not use the product if it is damaged, wet or not functioning properly.
- Do not use the product if cable, plug, battery, connector or heating zone is damaged.
- Before each use, check the garment and batteries for damage, distortion or other abnormalities.
- Do not use the product if the battery shows signs of swelling, leakage or overheating.
- Keep the product away from fire, heat sources and direct sunlight.
- Wear and remove the garment carefully and avoid hard pulling to protect the internal wiring.
- Avoid hitting, bumping, folding or pressing hard on the garment, as this may damage the heating zones.
- Do not fold or kink the heating zones unnecessarily sharply.
Use and charging
- Use only the charger and batteries provided or recommended by HeatPerformance®.
- While charging, a red light is lit on the charger.
- When the battery is fully charged, a green light illuminates on the charger.
- Charge only at room temperature and always under supervision.
- Disconnect the charger as soon as charging is complete.
- Do not charge near flammable materials, such as bedding, paper or textiles.
- Never open, puncture, crush or burn the battery.
- Do not use or recharge a damaged battery.
- Do not expose the battery to rain, moisture, fire or extreme heat.
During use
- Use with extra caution in cases of reduced sensitivity to heat or circulatory problems.
- Extra caution is required for elderly people and for persons with reduced skin or nerve sensitivity.
- When in doubt before use, consult a doctor, for example in pregnancy, diabetes, circulatory problems or reduced heat sensitivity.
- Turn off the product immediately if it feels uncomfortably hot.
- Do not use the highest setting for too long at a time.
- Always turn off the heating system while sleeping.
- Not suitable for use by children.
Storage
- Remove batteries after each use and before cleaning or storage.
- Store in a cool, dry place and out of reach of children.
- Do not store batteries fully discharged for long periods of time.
- For long-term storage, charge the batteries at least once every 6 months to reduce capacity loss.
In emergencies
- Stop using the product immediately if there is a burning smell, smoke, excessive heat or unusual noises.
- Do not touch an overheated battery.
- Do not reuse damaged batteries and dispose of them safely according to applicable local regulations.
- Contact the supplier if you have any doubts about the safety of the product or battery.
Warranty
- The garment is covered by a 12-month warranty under normal and correct use.
- 6-month warranty on the batteries and charger.
- Damage resulting from misuse, improper charging, improper cleaning, normal wear and tear, modifications to the product or use contrary to this manual is not covered by the warranty.
Environment and recycling
- Never dispose of used batteries in household waste.
- Return them to an official collection point for small chemical waste.
- Packaging material, manual and other materials can be recycled according to local waste segregation.
- Contribute to a better environment by disposing of products and packaging responsibly.
