But how exactly do heated socks work, where is the battery located, how is the heat distributed across your foot and how long do your feet stay warm? Below, we explain how they work step by step.

How to switch on the heat

Each heated sock has a built-in heating system that is invisibly integrated into the fabric. This system distributes warmth across the heated zone of the sock, helping to make cold feet less of a problem.

Switching the socks on and off is easy using the button on the sock itself. Press and hold it for a few seconds to activate the heating system. The sock will then usually start on the highest heat setting, and you will feel the warmth increase within a few minutes.

Good to know

The highest setting is especially useful for warming up cold feet quickly. Once your feet feel comfortably warm, you can switch to a lower setting to make the battery last longer.

Compactly stored at the top of the sock

At the top of the sock, there is a special pocket where you can store the rechargeable battery. Simply connect the battery to the cable of the heating system.

Thanks to its smart positioning, you barely notice the battery while wearing the socks, and you put them on just like any other pair of socks. The batteries are compact, lightweight and suitable for use in cold conditions. This helps keep your feet comfortably warm even at low temperatures.

Connecting the battery

Connect the battery to the cable inside the battery pocket, then place it fully inside the pocket. This keeps the battery securely in place while you wear the socks.

Flexible heat conductors made of copper and carbon

The heating system consists of ultra-thin heat conductors made of copper and carbon. Because carbon fibres are extremely flexible and strong, they move smoothly with the fabric without you feeling them.

On most models, the warmth spreads from the top of the foot to the toes, exactly where you tend to feel the cold first. The result is pleasant, even warmth that keeps your feet comfortably warm.

How long do your feet stay warm?

Battery life depends on several factors:

  • Ambient temperature. The colder it is, the harder the battery has to work.
  • The selected heat setting. The higher the setting, the faster the battery will run out.
  • Battery capacity. Most of our heated socks come with a 7.4 V – 2600 mAh battery. The actual battery life depends on the model and the conditions.

As a general guideline, you can expect around 2 to 9 hours of warmth, depending on the model and conditions. If you want to enjoy warm feet for longer, an extra set of batteries can be useful.

Three settings for your preferred temperature

Our heated socks have three heat settings: low, medium and high. This makes it easy to adjust the temperature to the conditions and your personal preference.

Highest setting

Ideal for warming up your feet quickly when they are very cold. After that, you can usually switch to a lower setting.

Medium setting

Suitable for cold weather and longer periods outdoors. This setting offers a good balance between warmth and battery life.

Lowest setting

Designed to maintain the warmth that has already built up. The battery will usually last longest on this setting.

Heated socks with remote control
