my favorite heated socks

This is my favourite heated sock!

Personal favourite from our collection

I originally wrote this article back in 2021, when we developed our thin heated sock. Since then, the sock has been further improved, but my opinion has actually stayed the same: this is still one of my favourite heated socks.

Why? Because the HeatPerformance® THIN does not feel like a thick ski sock, but like a soft, thin sock that I can simply wear at home, in sneakers or in shoes with a little extra room. That is exactly what makes this sock so comfortable for me when I have cold feet.

Why I like the THIN so much

✓

Thin and soft

Not a bulky, thick sock, but a thinner model that feels comfortable for everyday use.

✓

Breathable comfort

Ideal if you want to wear the sock for longer periods, for example at home, on the go or during a walk.

✓

Warmth around the toes

The part of your foot that often gets cold first receives pleasant warmth.

✓

For regular shoes

Ideal for sneakers, walking shoes or other shoes with just a little extra room.

✓

Flat heating elements

The carbon heating elements are subtly integrated, so the sock remains comfortable to wear.

✓

Rechargeable batteries

The sock works with small rechargeable batteries that you wear in the cuff of the sock.

Does the THIN sock fit in regular shoes?

THIN heated socks worn in sneakers at home

In this photo, I am simply wearing the THIN socks in sneakers at home. It immediately shows why I like this sock so much: it is not designed as a thick ski sock, but as a thin heated sock for everyday use.

Of course, it always depends on how much room you have in your shoes. In very tight shoes, any extra sock will feel thick sooner. But in sneakers, walking shoes or regular shoes with a little extra room, this model is very suitable.

Who are these socks ideal for?

For everyday use

For example at home, at the office, in the car, while travelling or on a chilly day outside.

For walking and cycling

Comfortable if your toes get cold quickly, but you do not want a thick sock in your shoe.

For sneakers and low shoes

The THIN is lower and more subtle than many other heated socks.

For people with cold feet

Especially if your feet get cold quickly while the rest of your body actually feels warm enough.

Useful accessory

Extension cables for extra comfort

The battery normally sits in the cuff of the sock. If you find that less comfortable, or if you want the sock to feel as thin as possible, you can use an extension cable. This allows you to carry the battery in your trouser pocket or jacket pocket, for example.

In short…

If I had to choose one heated sock from our collection for everyday use, this would be my favourite. Not because it is the thickest or the warmest, but precisely because it feels so comfortable and easy to wear.

For me, the THIN is the sock you reach for on chilly days, when you have cold feet at home or when you simply want some extra warmth without immediately putting on a thick winter sock.

Frequently asked questions about thin heated socks

Do thin heated socks fit in regular shoes?

Often they do, as long as the shoe is not very tight. The THIN sock was specifically developed for people looking for a thinner model for sneakers, walking shoes or regular shoes with a little extra room.

Where exactly is the heat?

The heat is mainly around the toes and forefoot. That is usually exactly the area where cold feet first start to feel uncomfortable.

Can you feel the heating wires?

The heating elements are flat and subtly integrated. This makes the sock feel much less bulky than many traditional heated socks.

Where do you wear the battery?

The battery normally sits in the cuff of the sock. With an extension cable, you can also carry the battery in your trouser pocket or jacket pocket.

Is the THIN sock suitable for skiing?

For real winter sports or extreme cold, a thicker heated sock may be more logical. The THIN is mainly intended for everyday use, walking, cycling, travelling and shoes where you do not want too much extra thickness.
