Why choose the HeatPerformance® THIN heated socks?
The HeatPerformance® THIN heated socks are thin, low-cut socks with built-in heating for everyday use. This model has been developed for people who quickly get cold feet, but do not want to wear thick heated socks in regular or low shoes.
The THIN socks work with a 7.4V heating system with 5W per sock and provide targeted warmth around the toes and forefoot, precisely where cold is often felt first. You can easily adjust the heat setting using the button on the sock.
With a thickness similar to tennis socks, the THIN feel much more like regular socks than our thicker heated models. The soft bamboo viscose blend feels comfortable against the skin and makes these thin heated socks pleasant to wear every day, whether at home, at the office or during a walk.
A personal favourite for everyday use
The THIN are one of our personal favourites because they are so easy to wear in daily life. At the office, at home in slippers, during a walk or on fresh days when regular socks are just not quite warm enough.
The heated socks THIN are slightly fuller than our ULTRA THIN and can therefore retain warmth a little longer, while still being much thinner than our warmer PRO and POWER models. This makes them a comfortable middle ground for anyone who wants warm feet without wearing a thick sock.

Which shoes are the THIN heated socks suitable for?
The THIN are mainly suitable for low or regular shoes with enough room. In high shoes, boots or ski boots, the battery above the ankle may feel less comfortable.
| Shoe | Do the THIN fit? | Advice |
|---|---|---|
| Regular shoes | Suitable | Suitable for everyday shoes, as long as the shoe offers enough room. |
| Roomier trainers | Very suitable | A good choice for keeping cold feet comfortably warm throughout the day. |
| Walking shoes | Suitable | Suitable for walks and everyday outdoor use, as long as the shoe offers enough room. |
| Work shoes | Suitable | Suitable for cold days and outdoor work, as long as the shoe offers enough room. |
| Boots or ski boots | Usually not suitable | Because of the low-cut design, the battery above the ankle may press against the shoe. Choose ACTIVE THIN, PRO or POWER instead. |
| Smart shoes | Usually less suitable | If you want as little extra thickness as possible, ULTRA THIN is usually the better choice. |
How long do the THIN heated socks stay warm?
Each sock works with a rechargeable 7.4V / 2600 mAh lithium-ion battery. The runtime depends on the selected heat setting, the outside temperature, the insulation of your shoes and the age of the battery.
With heated socks, the number of mAh does not tell the whole story about warmth. A 5V power bank with 5000 mAh may look impressive on paper, but warmth is mainly determined by the voltage and the actual heating power of the sock. The HeatPerformance® THIN use a 7.4V heating system with 5W per sock, providing effective warmth in a thin and comfortable model.
| Heat setting | Use | Realistic runtime with 2600 mAh battery |
|---|---|---|
| Lowest setting | For long-lasting, constant warmth | 7–8 hours |
| Middle setting | For cold conditions | 4–6 hours |
| Highest setting | For extra warmth in strong cold | 2.5–3.5 hours |
- For the longest runtime, you can start on the highest setting and then switch back to medium or low.
- The actual runtime depends on outside temperature, shoe insulation, heat setting and battery age.
- A full charge takes approximately 3 to 4 hours.
- Extra batteries are available separately for longer or consecutive use.

What material are the THIN heated socks made from?
- 68% bamboo viscose, 20% elastane and 12% spandex.
- Bamboo viscose feels soft and helps absorb moisture during everyday use.
- Elastic fibres allow the sock to stretch comfortably, fit well and stay in place.
- Premium inner finish: extra-thin heating elements around the toes and forefoot, with as little extra volume as possible.
Flexible battery placement with extension cables
The batteries are normally worn in the battery pocket at the top of the sock. Would you rather not wear the batteries in the sock? Optional extension cables for heated socks allow you to carry the batteries, for example, in your trouser pocket. This can be useful under tighter clothing or if you want less bulk around your lower leg.

Frequently asked questions about the THIN heated socks
What is the difference between THIN, ULTRA THIN and ACTIVE THIN?
The THIN are a thin, low-cut model with 5W heating power per sock for everyday use in low or regular shoes. The ULTRA THIN also have 5W per sock, but they are our thinnest model and are mainly designed for shoes where you want as little extra volume as possible. The ACTIVE THIN are higher, more focused on active outdoor use, have a remote control and provide 6W heating power per sock.
Are THIN warmer than ULTRA THIN?
THIN and ULTRA THIN both have 5W heating power per sock. In practice, the THIN often feel slightly fuller and can retain warmth a little longer because the sock is slightly thicker than the ULTRA THIN. ULTRA THIN are mainly intended for shoes where every millimetre of space matters.
Which shoes and activities are the THIN heated socks suitable for?
The THIN heated socks are suitable for everyday use in low or regular shoes, as long as there is enough room around the toes and foot. Think of use at home, at the office, during a walk or on cold days outdoors. For high walking boots, boots or ski boots, ACTIVE THIN, PRO or POWER are usually the better choice. For very tight shoes, cycling shoes or smart shoes with little room, ULTRA THIN are often more suitable.
Are the THIN heated socks suitable for boots or ski boots?
No, usually not. The THIN are a low-cut model where the battery sits above the ankle. In boots, ski boots or other high shoes, the battery or battery holder may press against the shoe. For high shoes, choose ACTIVE THIN, PRO or POWER instead.
Where are the heating elements and why not under the entire sole?
The extra-thin carbon heating elements are located around the toes and forefoot, exactly where cold is often felt first. They are carefully integrated behind a comfortable inner finish, so you experience as little extra volume around the toes as possible.
We deliberately choose not to heat the entire sole of the foot. This would require more energy from the battery, often make the sock thicker and could be felt more quickly under the heel when walking or working. By focusing the warmth on the toes and forefoot, the sock remains more comfortable, thinner and more durable.
How quickly do the THIN heated socks warm up?
With the HeatPerformance® THIN socks, you will feel warmth around the toes within about 30 seconds. Use the highest setting to warm up cold feet quickly, then switch back to the middle or lowest setting to keep the warmth for longer. The exact heat sensation can vary depending on the person, heat setting, shoe and outside temperature.
Do the THIN have a remote control?
No, the HeatPerformance® THIN heated socks do not have a remote control. You adjust the heat setting using the button on the sock.
How long do the batteries of the THIN heated socks last?
With the included 7.4V / 2600 mAh batteries, the realistic runtime is approximately 7–8 hours on the lowest setting, 4–6 hours on the middle setting and 2.5–3.5 hours on the highest setting. The exact runtime depends on the selected setting, the outside temperature, the insulation of your shoes and the condition of the batteries.
Why do you use 7.4V batteries instead of regular 5V power banks?
With heated socks, the number of mAh does not tell the whole story about warmth. Many regular power banks work as standard at 5V, while the HeatPerformance® THIN use a 7.4V heating system with 5W per sock. The actual heating power in watts is more important than battery capacity in mAh alone.
A simple calculation shows this clearly. The THIN deliver approximately 5W of heating power per sock at 7.4V. If the same heating element were used at 5V, the power would drop significantly. With the same resistance, the rule is: power = voltage × voltage ÷ resistance.
Example:
- At 7.4V, the system delivers approximately 5W.
- At 5V with the same heating element, this would be only about 2.3W.
This means that a 5V power bank with a high mAh rating may look impressive on paper, but it does not automatically provide more warmth. A power bank can mainly supply power for longer; the heating system determines how much warmth is actually produced.
That is why we use compact, rechargeable 7.4V lithium-ion batteries. These are better suited to a thin heated sock that needs to remain comfortable in low or regular shoes, without depending on a large power bank attached to your leg.
Can I wear the batteries somewhere other than in the sock?
Yes, with optional extension cables for heated socks you can carry the batteries, for example, in your trouser pocket. This can be more comfortable if you want less bulk around your lower leg or if you wear the sock under tighter clothing.
Are these heated socks suitable for chilblains, rheumatism or Raynaud’s?
Warm feet can be pleasant if you quickly get cold feet, suffer from chilblains or are sensitive to cold, for example due to Raynaud’s syndrome. The HeatPerformance® THIN heated socks are designed as a warming product and are not a medical device. In case of medical complaints, diabetes, reduced sensitivity or persistent pain, always consult your doctor.
Can I wash the heated socks?
Yes, the heated socks can be washed at a maximum of 30°C. Always remove the batteries before washing the socks. Preferably use a laundry bag and choose a gentle wash programme. Do not use a tumble dryer, bleach or aggressive detergent. Allow the socks to air-dry completely and only reconnect the batteries once the socks and connectors are fully dry.
Warranty
The socks come with a 12-month commercial warranty. The batteries come with a 6-month commercial warranty. This does not affect your statutory consumer rights.

Nie mehr kalte Füße!
Bra.
