Why choose the HeatPerformance® POWER heated socks?
The HeatPerformance® POWER heated socks have been developed for people who need a high level of warmth in cold conditions. This is a warm, slightly thicker heated sock with a powerful 7.4V heating system of 5.5W per sock. That makes the POWER especially suitable for cold ski days, but also for outdoor work, motorcycling and situations where cold feet quickly become uncomfortable.
The heated socks POWER are comparable to the PRO in terms of material and sock thickness, but it does not have a remote control. You simply adjust the heat level using the button on the sock.
Thanks to its premium Coolmax® material blend, reinforced heel and toe area, and comfortable fit, the POWER is designed for intensive use in roomier shoes, boots or ski boots.
Premium finish on the inside
Even with a warm, thicker sock, the finish on the inside makes a real difference. The very thin heating elements are carefully integrated behind a fine inner lining, so you feel targeted warmth around the toes and forefoot without hard heating wires.
This allows the POWER to combine strong heat performance with the comfort and refined finish you would expect from a high-quality heated sock.
Which shoes are the POWER heated socks suitable for?
The POWER is one of the thicker models in our heated sock range. It is therefore best suited to shoes with enough space.
| Shoe or boot | Does the POWER fit? | Advice |
|---|---|---|
| Ski boots or snowboard boots | Very suitable | A good choice for cold ski days and winter sports. If your ski boots are very tight, the ACTIVE THIN may be a better option. |
| Winter boots or work boots | Very suitable | A good choice for outdoor work, long periods of sitting still or prolonged cold conditions. |
| Motorcycle boots | Usually suitable | Suitable if you want to keep your feet especially warm while riding a motorcycle. |
| Hiking shoes or outdoor shoes | Only if they offer enough space | For cold days and calmer outdoor activities, where warmth is more important than a very thin fit. |
| Trainers or dress shoes | Usually less ideal | If there is little space in your shoes, choose THIN, ACTIVE THIN or ULTRA THIN instead. |
How long do the POWER heated socks stay warm?
Each sock works with a rechargeable 7.4V / 2600 mAh lithium-ion battery. The runtime depends on the selected heat level, the outside temperature, the insulation of your shoes and the age of the battery.
With heated socks, the number of mAh does not tell the whole story about the actual warmth produced. A 5V power bank with 5000 mAh may look impressive on paper, but the heat mainly depends on the voltage and the actual heating power of the sock.
The HeatPerformance® POWER works with a 7.4V heating system of 5.5W per sock. This provides powerful warmth in cold conditions. Because the POWER is also a slightly thicker model, the generated heat is retained well inside the sock and shoe.
| Heat level | Use | Realistic runtime with 2600 mAh battery |
|---|---|---|
| Lowest setting | For long-lasting warmth | 9–10 hours |
| Middle setting | For cold conditions | 5–6 hours |
| Highest setting | For maximum warmth | 3–4 hours |
- The POWER sock has been designed to provide strong heat output in cold conditions.
- At higher settings, the increased heating power uses more energy.
- The actual runtime depends on outside temperature, shoe insulation, heat level and battery age.
- A full charge takes approximately 3 to 4 hours.
- Additional 7.4V batteries of 2600 mAh and 3000 mAh are available separately.

Frequently asked questions about the POWER heated socks
What is the difference between POWER and PRO?
POWER and PRO are both warm, slightly thicker heated socks designed for roomier shoes, boots or ski boots. The PRO is our warmest heated sock and has 6W heating power per sock plus a remote control. The POWER offers 5.5W heating power per sock and does not have a remote control. Choose POWER if you are looking for a warm, thicker heated sock without remote control. Choose PRO if you want maximum warmth and the convenience of a remote control.
Does the POWER heated sock have a remote control?
No, the HeatPerformance® POWER heated socks do not have a remote control. You adjust the heat level using the button on the sock.
Are the POWER heated socks suitable as heated ski socks?
Yes, the POWER heated socks are very suitable as heated ski socks, provided there is enough space in the ski boot. The POWER is a thicker model with 5.5W heating power per sock. Therefore, carefully check that the sock does not create extra pressure around the toes. If you are looking for the warmest heated sock with remote control, the PRO is the best choice. If you prefer a warm and robust ski sock without remote control, the POWER is a very good option.
Where are the heating elements located and why is the entire sole not heated?
The thin carbon heating elements are located around the toes and forefoot, exactly where cold is often felt first. Heat is delivered in a targeted way from this area and gradually spreads through the foot.
We deliberately choose not to heat the entire sole. This would require more energy from the battery, often make the sock thicker and could become more noticeable under the heel while walking, skiing or working. By focusing the heat around the toes and forefoot, the sock remains more comfortable, more durable and more pleasant to wear.
How long do the batteries of the POWER heated socks last?
With the included 7.4V / 2600 mAh batteries, the realistic runtime is approximately 9–10 hours on the lowest setting, 5–6 hours on the middle setting and 3–4 hours on the highest setting. The exact runtime depends on the selected heat level, the outside temperature, the insulation of your shoes and the condition of the batteries.
Why do you use 7.4V batteries instead of standard 5V power banks?
With heated socks, the number of mAh does not tell the whole story about warmth. Many standard power banks operate at 5V, while the HeatPerformance® POWER uses a 7.4V heating system of 5.5W per sock. The actual heating power in watts is more important than the battery capacity in mAh alone.
A simple calculation shows this clearly. The POWER provides around 5.5W of heating power per sock at 7.4V. If the same heating element were used at 5V, the power would drop significantly. With the same resistance, the rule is: power = voltage × voltage ÷ resistance.
Example:
- At 7.4V, the system provides approximately 5.5W.
- At 5V, the same heating element would only provide around 2.5W.
This means that a 5V power bank with many mAh may look impressive on paper, but it does not automatically produce more heat. A power bank can mainly supply energy for longer; the heating system determines how much heat is actually produced.
That is why we use compact, rechargeable 7.4V lithium-ion batteries. They are well matched to the heating system of the POWER socks and offer a good balance between warmth, runtime and comfort, without the need to wear a large power bank on your leg.
Can I order the POWER socks without batteries?
Yes, you can also order the POWER heated socks without batteries. You can then use separate 7.4V batteries, such as the 2600 mAh or 3000 mAh batteries from HeatPerformance®. Extra batteries are useful if you want to use the socks for a long time or several times in a row. Also see our batteries and accessories.
Can I wear the batteries somewhere other than in the sock?
Yes, with optional extension cables for heated socks, you can wear the batteries in your trouser pocket, for example. This can be useful if you want less volume around the lower leg or if you wear the sock under tighter trousers, ski trousers or a boot.
Are these heated socks suitable for chilblains, rheumatism or Raynaud’s syndrome?
Warm feet can be pleasant if you quickly suffer from cold feet, chilblains or sensitivity to cold, for example due to Raynaud’s syndrome. The HeatPerformance® POWER heated socks are designed as a warming product and are not a medical device. In case of medical conditions, diabetes, reduced sensitivity or persistent pain, always consult your doctor.
Can I wash the heated socks?
Yes, the heated socks can be washed at a maximum of 30°C. Always remove the batteries before washing. Preferably use a laundry bag and choose a delicate wash programme. Do not use a tumble dryer, bleach or harsh detergent. Let the socks air dry completely and only reconnect the batteries once the socks and connectors are fully dry.

Wrong size, but socks where good quality
theses socks were ace on my ski trip even on low setting about an hour into the day i would put them on low or medium and never thought about it the rest of the day never felt i needed to go on high setting and would still be working half 5 at the end of the day great buy
After 10-20km of winter cycling I always developed numb feet no matter what quality socks and footwear I wore. Since using these electrically heated socks, the problem has been solved at long last.
