The ACTIVE THIN stays securely in place while you move. The technical Coolmax® material blend helps wick away moisture, making the sock comfortable to wear during walking, cycling, skiing or outdoor work.
The extra-thin heating elements are carefully integrated around the toes and forefoot. This keeps the sock flexible and adds as little extra volume as possible inside the shoe. That is especially useful in ski boots, walking boots and winter boots, where thick heated socks can quickly feel too tight.

How long do the ACTIVE THIN heated socks stay warm?
Each sock is powered by a rechargeable 7.4V / 2600 mAh lithium-ion battery. Battery life depends on the selected heat setting, the outside temperature, the insulation of your shoes and the age of the battery.
With heated socks, the number of mAh does not tell the full story about warmth. A 5V power bank with 5000 mAh may look powerful on paper, but heat output is mainly determined by the voltage and the actual heating power of the sock. The HeatPerformance® ACTIVE THIN uses a 7.4V heating system with 6W per sock. This gives the thin outdoor model strong heat performance, without making the sock unnecessarily thick.
The ACTIVE THIN is designed to offer a strong balance between warmth, battery life, comfort and freedom of movement. The on/off button has a battery indicator with four blue LED bars. When all four bars are lit, the battery is fully charged.

What material are the ACTIVE THIN heated socks made from?

Flexible battery placement with extension cables
The batteries are normally worn in the battery pocket at the top of the sock. Would you prefer not to wear the batteries in the sock? You can use optional extension cables for heated socks, allowing you to carry the batteries, for example, in your trouser pocket. This can be useful under tighter clothing or if you want less volume around the lower leg.

What is the difference between ACTIVE THIN, PRO and POWER?
The ACTIVE THIN is a high, thin outdoor model with remote control and 6W heating power per sock. The PRO also has 6W per sock, but it is a thicker model and therefore our warmest heated sock. The PRO also includes a remote control. The POWER is similar in thickness to the PRO in terms of material, but has 5.5W heating power per sock and no remote control.
Is ACTIVE THIN warmer than THIN and ULTRA THIN?
Yes, with 6W per sock, the ACTIVE THIN has a higher heating power than the THIN and ULTRA THIN, which both have 5W per sock. In practice, the feeling of warmth also depends on your shoes, the outside temperature, the selected heat setting and how much space there is inside the shoe.
Is ACTIVE THIN the same as PRO?
No. ACTIVE THIN and PRO both have 6W heating power per sock and a remote control, but they were developed for different types of use. ACTIVE THIN is a high, thin outdoor model for active use and shoes with slightly less space. PRO is a thicker model and our warmest heated sock for roomier shoes, boots and ski boots.
Are the ACTIVE THIN heated socks suitable for ski boots?
Yes, the ACTIVE THIN can be suitable for ski boots, especially if you prefer not to wear a thick heated sock. Thanks to the thin, high design, you keep more feeling and control in your ski boot than with a thicker model. Always check, however, that there is enough space around the toes and around the foot.
Where are the heating elements located and why is the entire sole not heated?
The extra-thin carbon heating elements are located around the toes and forefoot, exactly where cold is often felt first. From this area, the heat is delivered directly and gradually spreads further through the foot.
We deliberately choose not to heat the entire sole of the foot. This would require more battery power, often make the sock thicker and could become more noticeable under the heel while walking, skiing or working. By focusing the heat around the toes and forefoot, the sock remains more comfortable, more flexible and more refined in its finish.
How quickly do the ACTIVE THIN heated socks warm up?
With the HeatPerformance® ACTIVE THIN socks, you feel warmth around the toes within approximately 30 seconds. Use the highest setting to warm up cold feet quickly, then switch back to the middle or lowest setting to keep the warmth for longer. The exact feeling of warmth may vary depending on the person, heat setting, shoe and outside temperature.
How long do the batteries of the ACTIVE THIN heated socks last?
With the included 7.4V / 2600 mAh batteries, the realistic battery life is approximately 7–8 hours on the lowest setting, 4–6 hours on the middle setting and 2.5–3.5 hours on the highest setting. The exact battery life depends on the selected setting, the outside temperature, the insulation of your shoes and the condition of the batteries.
Why do you use 7.4V batteries instead of regular 5V power banks?
With heated socks, the number of mAh does not tell the full story about warmth. Many regular power banks operate at 5V, while the HeatPerformance® ACTIVE THIN uses a 7.4V heating system with 6W per sock. The actual heating power in watts is more important than just the battery capacity in mAh.
A simple calculation makes this clear: the ACTIVE THIN delivers approximately 6W of heating power per sock at 7.4V. If the same heating element were powered at 5V, the power would drop significantly. With the same resistance, the formula is: power = voltage × voltage ÷ resistance.
Example:
- At 7.4V, the system delivers approximately 6W.
- At 5V on the same heating element, it would deliver only around 2.7W.
This means that a 5V power bank with a high mAh rating may look impressive on paper, but it does not automatically provide more warmth. A power bank can mainly supply power for longer; the heating system determines how much heat is actually produced.
That is why we use compact, rechargeable 7.4V lithium-ion batteries. These are well matched to the heating system of the ACTIVE THIN socks and provide a strong balance between powerful warmth, battery life and wearing comfort, without needing a large power bank on your leg.
How do I operate the ACTIVE THIN heated socks?
You adjust the heat setting using the button on the sock or the included remote control. The on/off button also has a battery indicator with four blue LED bars. When all four bars are lit, the battery is fully charged.
Can I wear the batteries somewhere other than in the sock?
Yes, with optional extension cables for heated socks, you can carry the batteries, for example, in your trouser pocket. This can be more comfortable if you want less volume around the lower leg or if you wear the sock under tighter clothing.
Are these heated socks suitable for chilblains, rheumatism or Raynaud’s?
Warm feet can be comfortable if you quickly suffer from cold feet, chilblains or sensitivity to cold, for example due to Raynaud’s phenomenon. The HeatPerformance® ACTIVE THIN heated socks are designed as a warming product and are not a medical device. In case of medical conditions, diabetes, reduced sensitivity or persistent pain, always consult your doctor.
Can I wash the heated socks?
Yes, the heated socks can be washed at a maximum of 30°C. Always remove the batteries before washing. Preferably use a laundry bag and choose a delicate wash programme. Do not use a tumble dryer, bleach or aggressive detergent. Allow the socks to air dry completely and only reconnect the batteries once the socks and connectors are fully dry.
Warranty
The socks come with a 12-month commercial warranty. The batteries come with a 6-month commercial warranty. This does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.
