Why choose the HeatPerformance® PRO electric heated socks?
The HeatPerformance® PRO electric heated socks are our warmest heated socks for long-lasting cold conditions. This thicker model combines a powerful 7.4V heating system of 6W per sock with long battery life and the convenience of a remote control.
The PRO is especially suitable for roomier shoes, boots and ski boots. The sock provides targeted warmth around the toes and forefoot, exactly where cold is often felt first. You can easily adjust the heat setting using the button on the sock or the included remote control.
Thanks to the robust sock construction, premium material blend, reinforced heel and toe and comfortable inner finish, the PRO is suitable for intensive use in cold conditions.
Premium inner finish with flatter heating conductors
With heated socks, the finish on the inside makes a big difference. The HeatPerformance® PRO has thin, flexible heating conductors that are carefully concealed behind an ultra-thin inner lining.
As a result, the sock feels comfortable, without hard heating wires and with as little extra volume as possible around the forefoot. This is especially pleasant in shoes, boots or ski boots, where extra pressure can quickly become uncomfortable.
Which shoes are the PRO heated socks suitable for?
The PRO is a thicker heated sock and therefore fits best in footwear with enough space.
| Shoe or boot | Does the PRO fit? | Advice |
|---|---|---|
| Ski boots or snowboard boots | Very suitable | Very suitable for extremely cold days. If you have tighter ski boots and/or wide feet, the ACTIVE THIN may be a better fit. |
| Winter boots or work boots | Very suitable | A good choice for outdoor work, sitting still or long periods in the cold. |
| Motorcycle boots | Usually suitable | Suitable if you want plenty of warmth while motorcycling and your boots offer enough space. |
| Walking shoes or outdoor shoes | Only if they are roomy enough | For cold days and relaxed outdoor use where warmth is more important than a thin fit. |
| Trainers or smart shoes | Usually not ideal | If there is little space, choose THIN, ACTIVE THIN or ULTRA THIN instead. |
How long do the PRO heated socks stay warm?
Each sock works with a rechargeable 7.4V / 2600 mAh lithium-ion battery. Battery life depends on the heat setting, outdoor temperature, shoe insulation and the age of the battery.
With heated socks, the number of mAh does not tell the whole story. A 5V power bank of 5000 mAh may look impressive on paper, but warmth is mainly determined by the voltage and the actual heating power of the sock. The HeatPerformance® PRO works with a 7.4V heating system of 6W per sock, for powerful warmth in cold conditions.
The PRO combines this heating power with a warm, thicker sock construction. This makes it our highest-performing model in terms of warmth, with a strong balance between heat, battery life and wearing comfort in roomier shoes, boots or ski boots.
| Heat setting | Use | Realistic battery life with 2600 mAh battery |
|---|---|---|
| Lowest setting | For long-lasting, constant warmth | 9–10 hours |
| Medium setting | For cold conditions | 5.5–6.5 hours |
| Highest setting | For extra warmth in severe cold | 3.5–4.5 hours |
- For the longest battery life, you can start on the highest setting and then switch back to medium or low.
- In well-insulated shoes, boots or ski boots, the warmth may remain noticeable for longer.
- The actual battery life depends on outdoor temperature, shoe insulation, heat setting and battery age.
- Fully charging takes approximately 3 to 4 hours.
- Extra 7.4V batteries of 2600 mAh and 3000 mAh are available separately.

Frequently asked questions about the PRO electric heated socks
What is the difference between PRO and POWER?
The PRO and POWER are both warm, thicker heated socks for roomier shoes, boots or ski boots. The PRO is our warmest heated sock and has 6W heating power per sock plus remote control. The POWER has 5.5W heating power per sock and no remote control. Choose PRO if you want maximum warmth and the convenience of remote control. Choose POWER if you are looking for a warm, thicker heated sock without remote control.
What is the difference between PRO and ACTIVE THIN?
The PRO and ACTIVE THIN both have 6W heating power per sock and remote control, but they are developed for different uses. The PRO is a thicker model and our warmest heated sock for roomier shoes, boots and ski boots. The ACTIVE THIN is a high, thin outdoor model for active use and shoes with slightly less space.
Are these heated socks suitable for ski boots?
Yes, the HeatPerformance® PRO heated socks are suitable for ski boots, as long as there is enough room in the ski boot. The PRO is a thicker model, so always check that the sock remains comfortable and does not create extra pressure around the toes.
Can I wear these heated socks in normal shoes?
Only if your shoes have enough space. The PRO is a thicker model and is therefore especially suitable for roomier shoes, boots, walking shoes and ski boots. For tighter shoes, trainers or daily use, a thinner model such as THIN or ULTRA THIN is often more comfortable.
Where are the heating conductors and why not under the entire sole?
The heating conductors are positioned around the toes and forefoot, exactly where cold is often felt first. They are carefully concealed behind a comfortable inner finish, so you do not feel hard heating wires and experience less extra volume around the forefoot than with many standard heated socks.
We deliberately do not heat the entire sole. That would require more battery power, often make the sock thicker and could become more noticeable under the heel while walking, skiing or working. By focusing the warmth on the toes and forefoot, the sock remains more comfortable and durable.
How quickly do the heated socks warm up?
With the HeatPerformance® PRO socks, you will feel warmth around the toes within approximately 30 seconds. Use the highest setting to warm up cold feet quickly and then switch back to medium or low to keep the warmth for longer. The exact warmth experience can differ per person, heat setting, shoe and outdoor temperature.
How do I control the heat setting?
You can adjust the heat setting using the button on the sock or the included remote control. The socks have three heat settings: low, medium and high.
How long do the PRO heated sock batteries last?
With the included 7.4V / 2600 mAh batteries, realistic battery life is approximately 9–10 hours on the lowest setting, 5.5–6.5 hours on the medium setting and 3.5–4.5 hours on the highest setting. The exact battery life depends on the chosen setting, outdoor temperature, shoe insulation and the condition of the batteries.
Why do you use 7.4V batteries instead of regular 5V power banks?
With heated socks, the number of mAh does not tell the whole story. Many regular power banks work at 5V, while the HeatPerformance® PRO works with a 7.4V heating system of 6W per sock. The actual heating power in watts is more important than the battery capacity in mAh alone.
A simple calculation shows this clearly. The PRO delivers approximately 6W of heating power per sock at 7.4V. If the same heating conductor were used at 5V, the power would drop significantly. With the same resistance, the following applies: power = voltage × voltage ÷ resistance.
Example:
- At 7.4V, the system delivers approximately 6W.
- At 5V on the same heating conductor, this would be only approximately 2.7W.
This means that a 5V power bank with a high mAh number may look impressive on paper, but it does not automatically provide more warmth. A power bank can mainly supply power for longer; the heating system determines how much warmth is actually produced.
That is why we choose compact, rechargeable 7.4V lithium-ion batteries. These match the heating system of the PRO socks and provide a strong balance between powerful warmth, battery life and wearing comfort, without relying on a large power bank attached to your leg.
Can I use extra batteries?
Yes, you can use extra 7.4V batteries for the HeatPerformance® PRO heated socks. The socks use one battery per sock. As standard, the socks are supplied with two 7.4V / 2600 mAh batteries. You can also order extra 7.4V / 3000 mAh batteries for longer use. View our batteries and accessories.
Can I wear the batteries somewhere other than on the sock?
Yes, with the optional extension cables for heated socks, you can carry the batteries in your trouser pocket, for example. This can be useful if you want less volume around your lower leg or wear the sock under tighter trousers, ski trousers or boots.
Are these heated socks suitable for chilblains, rheumatism or Raynaud’s?
Warm feet can feel pleasant if you quickly suffer from cold feet, chilblains or cold sensitivity due to, for example, Raynaud’s phenomenon. The HeatPerformance® PRO heated socks are intended as a heating product and not as a medical device. If you have medical complaints, diabetes, reduced sensation or persistent pain, always consult your doctor.
How do I charge the heated sock batteries?
The batteries of the HeatPerformance® PRO heated socks are removable and rechargeable. Remove the batteries from the socks and charge both batteries at the same time with the included dual charger. Fully charging takes approximately 3 to 4 hours.
Can I wash the heated socks?
Yes, the heated socks may be washed at a maximum of 30°C. Always remove the batteries before washing the socks. Preferably use a laundry bag and choose a gentle wash programme. Do not use a tumble dryer, bleach or aggressive detergent. Let the socks air dry completely and only reconnect the batteries when the socks and connectors are completely dry.
Warranty
The socks come with a 12-month commercial warranty. The batteries come with a 6-month commercial warranty. This does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.

Marginal advantage in terms of warmth. Sizing rather large. Expensive.
The socks are even better than I hoped. Superb performance.
Not tried them yet as it’s a Christmas present, 4 weeks to go but they wanted a review now.
I purchased these having researched and reviewed other suppliers these seemed pricey but worth it. Others had mixed reviews and I didn’t want to chance it.
I bought them for my husband as he suffers with poor circulation and says he can’t get his feet warm. All I can say is .. problem solved! Batteries took just a couple of hours to charge and he just has them on a low setting. Although he wears them when indoors, I think they’ll be a Godsend when fishing in the winter. He has a UK size 9, they came up a little large and have a tendency to slip down if he’s out walking at any pace, but I think we can sort that.
